2. General Information on Data Processing

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).

Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, email address, IP address). We only process such data as far as this is necessary to provide a functional website, our content, or our services.

3. Hosting and Server Logs

Our website is hosted on servers operated by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. For domain registration and management, we may also use DomainFactory GmbH, Oskar-Messter-Str. 33, 85737 Ismaning, Germany.

When you access our website, the web server automatically collects information that your browser transmits. This includes:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of the request
  • Accessed file and amount of data transmitted
  • Browser type and operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)

This data processing is technically necessary to ensure the operation and security of the website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Data is automatically deleted after 7 days.

We have concluded data processing agreements with netcup and DomainFactory in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Further processing of personal data is based on Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in technical stability and optimisation).

4.4 Managing Your Preferences

You can view and manage your cookie and storage settings at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer of this website. There you will find an overview of all cookies and browser storage elements in use, and you can activate or deactivate individual categories. You may also delete or block stored data directly in your browser.

5. Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse your use of our website and to create reports on website activity. The information collected by Google may be transmitted to and stored on servers of Google LLC in the United States.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, including the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 (1) TTDSG). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie link in the footer.

6. Internal Tracking System

In addition, we operate our own server-based internal tracking system that records anonymised usage data. It is used to technically analyse and optimise our website and future client projects.

The following data may be processed:

  • anonymised IP address
  • visited pages and files accessed
  • referrer URL
  • date and time of access
  • browser type and device type

The data is processed exclusively on our own servers hosted by netcup. Data is not shared with third parties. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving technical stability and usability).

7. Contact Form

When you contact us via the contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, message) as well as the time of your request are processed to respond to your inquiry.

Transmission is encrypted via our servers hosted by netcup. The inquiry is then forwarded to our business email account and stored there.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing inquiries).

When the same system is used for client websites, data processing is carried out on behalf of the respective client under the same data protection standards.

8. Data Sharing with Third Parties

Personal data is only shared with third parties when:

  • it is legally permissible and necessary for contract fulfilment (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR),
  • you have expressly given your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), or
  • a legal obligation exists (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR).

Transfers to third countries (e.g. the USA) occur only when using Google services, and only under the aforementioned Standard Contractual Clauses ensuring an adequate level of protection.

9. Storage Duration and Deletion

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. After the purpose no longer applies or the period expires, the data is deleted or anonymised.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access to your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
